Yeah, I am a student. I am currently doing research over the summer, so I have found myself surround by others students. The one thing that is on most student mind is the MCAT or the GRE, tests to get into medical or graduation school. Some will go out their way to study like there is no tomorrow. There is nothing wrong with preparing for a test or school. It is a good thing, but there most be balance or a person can go insane. I am prepared for the GRE; however, I am not worrying about my future over it. I just know if I work hard at everything I do then things should fall into place. Also, if they do not fall the way I like at the moment, I will be okay. Anytime I think I am in control of my future, something happen that totally change my plans. My path in life have been something far from normal. Getting marry at a early age, joining the army, having two children, going to school after the army with young children, majoring in a hard major (science and engineers), then spending my summers doing researches, and who knows what is next in my crazy life. There are things that I had to give up to live a life like this and I am not the only one who have to gives things up. My husband have been the back bone to all of the hard work that I have done to get this far. It is funny how life work, for when we get comfortable things start to change in a completely different direction. When I first started college, my major was visual communication. Now many years later, my major is Biological Engineering. I still don’t know what my future hold for me, but that is okay. I will just remember to have fun on the way there.
