May equal Low Money for Campaigns

Normally, Barack Obama would raise as much as $40 million in one month. However, Obama only raise $23.3 million in May. John McCain did better then his normal fundraising average for a month by raised $21.3 million for May.

Many political anaylist are saying that the slow down in fundraising for Obama is because it is the off month before the general election really began or that the Obama movement might be slowing down. However, I believe that the unemployment rate have something to do with the slow down to Obama fundraising for May. The unemployment rate is at 5.5 for the May, the lowest ever in President George W. Bush seven years in office.

Many of Obama fundraising come from small donate of $20 or $25 dollars from the internet. Many of Obama biggest supports are every day people who are having a hard time with the current economy, so it should not be a surprise when there is a drop in the economy and a slow down in Obama fundraising for the month. You have to love the way the media reported during the primary, they were trying to make it out that Obama supporters were not normal people who were having an hard time to provide for their families. For example, the media would say that the millions of people who voted for Obama, who were elitists and had it good and at the same time, the media would reported that Africa American were voted for Obama as much as 95 per cent. According to that logic, the media is saying that would make the 13 per cent of all Africa American elitist and rich. So how does the media is able to say things like this? Maybe they have never been to an inter city public school and seen all the children who are on public school lunches. Or never, read articles after articles on Africa American males in their 40s who die from prostate cancers because they could not afford to be testing. I believe the way the media put out their stories on Obama supporters as elitists is a insult to all of Obama supporters who are not elitist and not rich and that is the majority of Obama supporters.
